Swiss-type turning
Small, slender parts up to Ø 32 mm, made in series.
On a Swiss-type lathe the bar moves through a guide bush, so the tool always cuts right next to the support. Diameter tolerances hold even on long, slender parts. Unmanned night shifts keep unit costs low at high volumes.
Limits
- Bar diameter
- Ø 2–32 mm
- Maximum length
- 200 mm per part
- Tolerance
- ±0.005 mm
- Surface roughness
- Ra 0.4 µm
- Batch size
- 500–50,000 pcs
What we do
- Small parts such as pins, shafts, connectors and sensor housings
- Front and back working: finished parts in one cycle
- Parts with length-to-diameter ratios above 10:1
- Unmanned shifts with automatic bar feeding
